Unique features of IAS accreditation

IAS accreditation involves not only review of the submitted material but also a site visit to ensure that compliance with the requirements and verify documents that have been submitted prior to the on-site visit. Due to a high degree of integrity and confidence that is associated with IAS accreditation process, IAS accreditation is generally recognized as the highest standard in personnel certification accreditation.

The standard used by IAS to accredit certification bodies is an American National Standard as well as an ISO/IEC Standard. Accreditation to an international standard is extremely important for certification bodies that have global operations or aspirations. The American National Standard is important to facilitate government recognition.

  • It allows employing organizations to make an informed selection of employees or services based on the competencies that are represented by the certification designation.
  • It provides incentives to the professional to constantly improve his/her skills and knowledge. pan>
  • It serves as a tool for employers to ensure that training has been effective.

IAS follows an internationally recognized process for accrediting organizations. IAS conducts its accreditation in accordance with the requirement of ISO/IEC 17011-Conformity Assessment -General Requirements for Accreditation Bodies accrediting Conformity Assessment Bodies.
